NEW WINE ALERT!

Lily and Meg went to a Walla Walla Wine lunch on Tuesday.  Wine lunches are always fun, but dangerous too… new shoes and hairdos can become the end result of a long lunch of big Washington State Syrahs.  Luckily, they also found a gem of a wine from Walla Walla.

TRUST CELLARS 2009 T.A.T.T. RED WINE:

44% Syrah (Lewis, Lonesome Spring, Davidson)

31% Cab Sauv (Double Canyon in the HHH)

25% Grenache (Cockburn Ranch in WW)

The acronym T.A.T.T. stands for Tried And True Table Wine and features a different tattoo artist on its label every vintage.  The featured artist on the 2009 is Lindsey Johnson.  The wine in the bottle is fresh and bright and juicy… aromas of strawberry and cherry fruit with a snap of peppery spice on the finish.  A real stand-out during lunch.  It was a nice palate cleanser after all the big smoky Syrahs they were drinking.
