Join us tonight, 6-9 pm, to taste three terrific wines under fifteen bucks a bottle! We’ll be welcoming our friend Kevin from The Vine Collective, a company that specializes in bringing in special wines made by small producers from across the globe. Come taste and hear the stories behind the labels, with cheese from ED!
Cantina Ericina Tonnara Bianco, Sicily
Cantina Ericina is a co-op winery producing organic wines from sustainably grown grapes, in addition to sheep’s milk cheeses, olive oil, and wheat. Tonnara Bianco is a crisp, clean blend of the native varietals Cataratto, Grillo, and Inzolia, offering notes of ripe green pear and orange blossoms. $12
Pago Casa Gran Reposo Tinto, Valencia
Reposo hails from a family owned estate in the Las Alcuzas Valley in southwest Valencia, where the hot days and cool nights are ideal for growing grapes. Their tinto is a blend of Monastrel, Garnacha Tintorera, Syrah, and Merlot, offering lush red fruit and a dash of spice. Perfect for pork! $14
Luis Alegre Koden, Rioja 2009
Winemaker Luis Alegre has built his vineyard with one eye on the long winemaking tradition of Rioja and the other on utilizing the latest technology to create wines that are both modern and elegant. We think Koden is an insane value- a pure expression of Tempranillo from one of our favorite regions in the world, with enough character to stand up to any Crianza. $13
