As we begin a new year, it is worth jotting down a few resolutions. Suspending judgment is always a good exercise, particularly when it comes to wine regions where you’re not a specialist. With wine, styles frequently change, pockets of vineyards emerge that produce wines whose character doesn’t fit with the region’s traditional profile and new winemakers continually set up shop, pushing boundaries of flavor and taste.
